Eastern Painted Turtles

Eastern Painted Turtles live in ponds, lakes, rivers and marshes. They have a omnivorous diet, feeding on many aquatic plants but also eat meats such as earthworms, insects and carrion. Painted Turtles love to bask in the sun. Their carapace can range from black to olive green and their plastron is yellow with red around the edges. Painted Turtles make great pets and have wonderful personalities once they are settled in and are easy to hand feed.
